The Crown Heights Film Festival is a not-for-profit organization that brings together local NYC residents and global filmmakers of diverse backgrounds for in-person short film screenings.

 

   Whenever possible we host post-screening panel discussions with the featured filmmakers and actors. The events are always free admission to the public, ensuring anyone is able to enjoy the original and always impactful visual experience.

   Writers, directors, editors, actors, producers and cinematographers get their work seen by New York City audiences that would otherwise be unlikely to see Indie short films from places like Iran, Argentina, France and, indeed, Crown Heights itself.

 

   We also offer low submission fees to filmmakers who, if selected, gain a new audience for their work. We believe that our relatively small festival delivers a big creative impact to our community, with lasting connections between filmmakers and creatives alike being forged at our events.
